Been on the hunt for a used 2020 Escalade Platinum for the family and I think I finally found one that checks all the boxes, low mileage, clean interior, and the owner says it's been serviced regularly, but I just can't shake this gut feeling that I'm missing something obvious and I've been burned before on a GCC spec car that turned out to have a ton of hidden issues from sitting in the sun for three years without moving. The seller is nice enough and willing to let me take it to a shop for a lookover which I appreciate but I'm not really sure where to go that knows these big V8s well enough to spot the stuff I'd miss like a failing magnetic ride shock or early signs of AFM lifter collapse. I was poking around online trying to find a place that specializes in American stuff and not just the usual European garages and I came across Exotic Auto Services who apparently do a Cadillac PPI, you can Visit here for full details on what they actually check during the inspection. I'm just curious if anyone here in Abu Dhabi has used them or a similar service for an American car and if it was worth the time, like did they actually catch something that would've cost you a fortune down the line or was it pretty much just a formality? Trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on this one or keep looking because my wife is already planning the school runs in it.
