So I finally picked up a used 2018 A7 a couple months back and I absolutely love the way it looks and drives when I'm actually moving but I've noticed this weird thing where if I'm just creeping along in stop and go traffic on Al Falah Street the transmission feels like it can't decide what gear it wants to be in, it'll give this little lurch or hesitation right around 15 kph and it's just enough to make me spill my coffee every single morning. I've heard people say the dual clutch boxes are just a bit finicky at parking lot speeds but I'm coming from an older Mercedes with a torque converter so this is all new territory for me and I can't shake the feeling that maybe the mechatronic unit is on its way out or it just needs a fluid service that the previous owner skipped. I was poking around on the alzaabiautocare site trying to see what an Audi transmission repair and maintenance service actually entails cost wise versus just trading the car in and washing my hands of it. Honestly I'm just hoping someone with a C7 or C8 A7 can chime in and tell me their car does the exact same thing and it's completely normal for the DL501, because if this is the beginning of a big repair bill I'd rather just know now before I get stranded somewhere in the industrial area in August.
