So there I was yesterday, finished up a long lunch at Mall of the Emirates, walked back to my 2018 Range Rover Sport, hit the start button and got that awful rapid clicking sound followed by every warning light on the dash doing a little light show before the whole thing just went dark, and of course my first thought was oh great here comes a four figure bill for some electrical module that's decided to call it quits. Called a buddy who's had a few JLR products and he talked me off the ledge and said it's almost definitely just the battery because these things eat them for breakfast especially if you do a lot of short trips around town and the start stop system is constantly working against you. The fun part is the main battery is buried under the passenger seat and I am not about to start wrestling with bolts and trim panels in a mall parking garage while my ice cream melts in the trunk. I started googling mobile battery services and came across BatteryZone's page for Land Rovers, you can Learn more about this offer they have for a mobile replacement with the proper AGM battery and I'm honestly leaning toward just calling them to come out and handle it because they seem to know about the BMS reset procedure that these cars need or else the new battery will just die again in six months. Anyone else had to do this dance with their Range Rover or Discovery in Dubai and can confirm the mobile guys actually show up with the right equipment and don't leave you with a Christmas tree dash?
